Netherlands to provide two Patriot launchers to Ukraine

Ukraine will receive two Patriot air defense missile system launchers from the Netherlands.

The relevant statement was made by NOS, referring to a letter by Minister of Defence of the Netherlands Kajsa Ollongren to the House of Representatives, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Netherlands will supply two Patriot air defense missile system launchers and a number of missiles to Ukraine,” the report states.

Sixty-five Dutch servicemen will also train about 400 Ukrainian soldiers to operate the Patriot air defense missile system. The training course will take place in the United Kingdom.

A reminder that the 8th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format) took place on Friday, January 20, 2023. In this regard, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry outlined three priorities: more air defense systems; weapons for the offensive operations; systematic ammunition supplies, as well as armament and machinery service and repair.
