Russia keeps five carriers with 36 Kalibr missiles off Crimea coast

As of January 21, five Russian Kalibr missile carriers have been spotted in the Black Sea, with a total salvo of 36 missiles.

That’s according to the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"There are 11 enemy vessels on combat duty in the Black Sea, five of them carrying Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of 36 missiles," the statement reads.

In the Sea of Azov, the enemy continues to control sea communications by keeping two warships on combat duty.

In the Mediterranean, Russia has 10 warships, five of them carrying Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of 72 missiles.

Throughout the past day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, 35 ships passed through the Kerch-Yenikal Strait to the Sea of Azov, of which 15 moved from the Bosphorus Strait; while 36 vessels crossed into the Black Sea, of which eight proceeded in the direction of the Bosphorus Strait.

Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the Sea of Azov.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the information provided by the head of the joint coordination press center of Operational Command South, Natalia Humeniuk, the threat of missile strikes from the Black Sea remains high.
