Russians continue mortar strikes on Sumy region’s border areas
Russian troops have again used mortars to open fire on the Sumy region. The enemy fired eight mortar shells at the village of Boiaro-Lezhychi.
The relevant statement was made by the North Operational Command on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Between 03:25 p.m. and 03:35 p.m., eight explosions were recorded. Presumably, the 120 mm mortar was used near the village of Boiaro-Lezhychi,” the report states.
No casualties among civilians were reported, as well as personnel or military equipment losses.
A reminder that, on January 21, 2023, Russian troops struck six border communities in the Sumy region, having fired a total of 115 mortar shells and projectiles. A 17-year-old boy was injured.
