Russians shell Zaporizhzhia region over 100 times in past day

The Russian forces opened fire 111 times on populated areas of Zaporizhzhia region over the past day, January 22.

That’s according to Oleksandr Starukh, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, who reported the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Our communities are suffering from active enemy fire: 111 shellings over the past day, 88 of them targeting civilian objects. Forty-one buildings were destroyed, one person was injured. The enemy struck the Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, and Stepnohirsk communities," said the administration chief.

According to the official, work is ongoing in the village of Lezhyne, which the Russians attacked with S-300 missiles yesterday: power networks and the local road have already been restored.

As Ukrinform reported, on the night of January 22, Russian troops launched a missile attack on two villages in Zaporizhzhia region.
