Sumy region’s border areas struck by Russians 88 times
On January 28, 2023, four apartment blocks and 28 detached houses were damaged in Russia’s shelling of the Sumy region. Infrastructure objects and social facilities were also affected.
The relevant statement was made by the Sumy Region’s Police on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Over the past day, Russian troops have been shelling the Sumy region’s border settlements. As a result, there were damaged four apartment blocks, 28 detached houses, hotel, administrative building, prayer house, household building, sports complex, three shops, café, kindergarten and postal office,” the report states.
According to the police, a total of 88 strikes were recorded. Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ‘Violation of Laws and Customs of War’.
