Enemy continues offensive operations in four sectors – Ukraine's General Staff

Russian forces continue to conduct offensive operations in four directions, while defending itself in others.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its evening update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka areas. In other directions, they are defending," the update said.

According to the General Staff, Russian troops launched four missile strikes throughout the day. They also used multiple launch rocket systems more than ten times to target civilian infrastructure in Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region. The threat of Russian air and missile strikes across Ukraine remains high.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna areas, the situation has not changed significantly, with no offensive groups of the enemy recorded. Enemy units are undergoing training in Belarus. Russian troops shelled the areas of the settlements of Khrinivka and Krasnyi Khutir in the Chernihiv region, Volfyne, Shpyl, Basivka, Zapsillia, Mezenivka, Velyka Pysarivka in the Sumy region and Veterynarne, Hlyboke, Zelene, Neskuchne, Verkhnia Pysarivka, Vovchansk, Budarky, Novomlynsk and Dvorichna in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk area, enemy forces opened fire on the areas of the settlements of Sinkivka and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske, Berestove and Andriivka in the Luhansk region.

On the Lyman axis, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Chervopopivka and Dibrova in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka and Yampil in the Donetsk region all came under enemy fire.

In the Bakhmut area, Russian forces shelled the settlements of Verkhniokamaanske, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Krasna Hora, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Druzhba, Ivanopillia and New York in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy used tanks, mortars and artillery to attack Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, and Marinka.

In the Novopavlivka area, the enemy shelled Vodiane, Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar and Neskuchne in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors, the areas of more than 40 settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire, including Vremivka in the Donetsk region, Huliaipole and Bilohiria in the Zaporizhzhia region, Dobra Nadiia in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Beryslav, Lvove, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Berehove and Veletenske in the Kherson region. Civilian casualties were recorded.

On January 30, the aircraft of the Defense Forces of Ukraine launched four strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas, whereas Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit three Russian command posts, four military personnel and equipment concentration areas and two ammunition depots of the invaders.
