Defense minister says Ukraine will get planes

Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has said that partners will provide Ukraine with fighter jets.

He said this at a press conference on Sunday, February 5, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Today, in terms of receiving weapons, we received everything, there are only planes left. I can add some optimism to you - there will be planes too, and the question is which ones", Reznikov said.

He noted that Ukraine's partners constantly hear about the need for aircraft, as it is also part of air defense.

According to him, Ukraine can get both F-16s and other aircraft.

Reznikov said earlier that Ukraine was negotiating with its allies on the transfer of combat aircraft and long-range missiles.
