War update: Ukraine repels enemy attacks near seven settlements

Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s defense forces have repelled Russia’s attempts to advance in the areas of Kreminna, Shipylivka, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, and Paraskoviivka in Donetsk region.

That’s according to a morning update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

"Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka directions," the report reads.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, no significant changes were observed as no signs of any offensive elements being formed were detected.

At the same time, the Russians keep some of their units in the areas bordering Ukraine, continuing to shelling the Ukrainian positions and settlements along the contact line. The areas of Senkivka, Khrinivka and Leonivka of Chernihiv region were subjected to enemy fire; as well as Porohon, Studenok, Bilokopytove, Vovkivka, Stari Virky, Shpyl, Pavlivka, and Ponomarenka in Sumy region, and Uda, Chervona Zoria, Strelecha, Hlyboke, Lukyantsi, Ohirtseve, Ternova, and Fiholivka in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk and Lymandirections, enemy mortars and artillery fired at the areas of Novomlynsk, Hryanikyvka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Synkivka, Kucherivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne, and Berestovka in Kharkiv region, and Makiivka, Ploshanka, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region.

In the direction of Bakhmut, he areas of Mykolayivka, Spirne, Vasyukivka, Vesele, Berestovka, Bilohorivka, Berkhivka, Krasna Gora, Paraskoviivka, Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Toretsk, Pivdenne, and Mayorsk in Donetsk region came under tank, mortar, and artillery fire.

In the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions, areas of Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Bohoyavlenka, Novomykhailivka, Zolota Nyva, Prechistivka, Vuhledar, and Velyka Novosilka of Donetsk region were also shelled by Russian tanks, mortars, and artillery.

In the Zaporizhia direction, the areas of Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region and Olhivske, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Stepove, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne in Zaporizhia region were hit by enemy fire.

In the Kherson direction, enemy artillery shelled Antonivka in Kherson region, the city of Kherson, as well as Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.

Over the past day, the enemy launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine, firing off 106 missiles, including at civilian infrastructure. The enemy used 32 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 74 air and sea-based cruise missiles, 61 of which were downed by Ukraine’s defenders. In addition, the Russian occupiers carried out 59 airstrikes, 28 of them employing Shahed-136 UAVs. Twenty-two drones were shot down. Also, the enemy launched more than 90 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the city of Melitopol, collaborators hired by the occupation administration were offered to renounce Ukrainian citizenship by filing a corresponding statement.

In some settlements of the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhia region, Russian invaders maintain pressure on local residents, introducing curfews and conducting door-to-door inspections.

In Starobilsk, Luhansk region, the surgical department of the local clinic was converted into a military hospital due to the large number of wounded occupiers. Earlier, mobile crematoria were spotted in some localities in the occupied part of Luhansk region.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force delivered 12 strikes on the enemy clusters, as well as four strikes on the positions of their anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile and artillery units hit two manpower clusters, an ammunition depot, and the position of an anti-aircraft missile system, as well as three other important targets.
