Ukraine deprived Russia of dominance in Black Sea - Reznikov

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has said that Ukraine has deprived Russia of its dominance in the Black Sea.

He said this at a press conference in Odesa on Saturday, February 11, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ukrainian Navy.

"We deprived the Russian Federation of dominance in the Black Sea. In particular, after the successful use of our Ukrainian Neptunes, when the cruiser Moskva sank at the well-known address," Reznikov said.

He added that Harpoon anti-ship missiles are currently in service with the Ukrainian army, so the occupiers have no chance of approaching Odesa from the sea.

According to Reznikov, Russia did not manage to capture Odesa by land. Currently, the enemy has been pushed back to the east bank of the Dnipro River, which by itself, with destroyed bridges and crossings, is a powerful natural protective barrier.

"As for the left-bank territories in southern Ukraine, the enemy group there has an opportunity for replenishment with weapons, equipment, and manpower, so the situation there, of course, is more tense," he added.
