Zaluzhnyi, Cavoli discuss military aid, situation on battlefield

On the eve of the ninth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi held a phone conversation with NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander of the United States European Command, General Christopher Cavoli.

The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We discussed the supply of international military aid to Ukraine and the training of our units within the territory of partner countries. I shared the assessment of operational situation on the front of the Russian-Ukrainian war and plans for further actions,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.

In addition, Zaluzhnyi thanked Cavoli for his deep understanding of the situation and significant efforts to bring Ukraine’s victory closer.

“Ukraine’s victory will mean not only the liberation of its territories but also the creation of such conditions and such Armed Forces that will prevent Russians from attacking our state at any time in the future,” Zaluzhnyi stressed.

A reminder that Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has left for Brussels, where the ninth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format will take place on February 14, 2023.
