Ukrainian forces repel enemy attacks near 16 settlements

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks near 16 settlements.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its latest operational update, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repelled attacks by Russian invaders in the areas of Hrianykivka and Synkivka settlements in Kherson region; Stelmakhivka, Kreminna, Dibrova and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Rozdolivka, Fedorivka, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Sieverne, Vodiane, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk region," the report says.

It is noted that the enemy launched 41 missiles of various types throughout the territory of Ukraine. In particular, five modified S-300 anti-aircraft missiles targeted Kharkiv. As many as 16 missiles were shot down by Ukrainian defenders. In addition, the occupiers carried out 24 airstrikes and launched more than 50 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems. Civilian casualties were reported.

The General Staff noted that the threat of Russian air strikes and missile attacks throughout Ukraine remains.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy shelled the areas of Popivka, Bachivsk, and Partyzanske settlements in Sumy region, as well as Veterynarne, Hraniv, Svitlychne, Strelecha, and Vovchansk in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, invaders launched attacks on the settlements of Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, and Kucherivka in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Nevske and Chervonopivka in Luhansk region; Berestove in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Spirne, Vyimka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Rozdolivka, Fedorivka, Vasiukivka, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Kurdiumivka and Ozarianivka came under enemy fire.

In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy used artillery to shell the settlements of Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, and Neskuchne in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the areas of Zelene Pole and Novopil settlements in Donetsk region and Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia came under enemy fire.

In the Kherson direction, Zmiivka, Tokarivka, Antonivka, and Kherson came under enemy artillery fire. Civilians were injured.

The Air Forces of Ukraine launched 13 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment, as well as one strike on the position of their anti-aircraft missile system.

Units of the rocket troops and artillery struck four areas of concentration of enemy manpower, an artillery unit, two positions of anti-aircraft missile systems, an ammunition depot, as well as two other important objects of the occupiers.

As Ukrinform reported, from February 24, 2022, to February 16, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 140,460 Russian invaders, including 690 soldiers in the past day alone.
