Russians shell four communities in Sumy region

On February 18, Russian troops shelled four communities in Sumy region, 75 explosions were recorded.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports

"During the day, the enemy shelled four territorial communities of the region: Khotin, Bilopillia, Novoslobidske, and Putyvl. More than 75 explosions were recorded," the report says.

At 09:45, the enemy carried out a mortar shelling of the Bilopillia community from the territory of Russia – six explosions were recorded.  As a result of the shelling, five households were damaged, three houses and a car were destroyed in Ryzhivka village. The Russian invaders also used mortars to shell other settlements in the community - 12 explosions.

In the Novoslobidske community, mortar fire (15 explosions) and machine gun fire were recorded. The Khotin also came under artillery fire – 6 explosions. At 16:45, the enemy dropped mines on territory of the Putyvl community.

According to the regional administration, there were no civilian casualties.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army launched attacks on nine regions of Ukraine during the day.
