Russia has launched 255 missile strikes on 112 energy facilities in Ukraine since October
Since last October, Russia has launched 255 missile strikes on 112 energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
"Since October 10, 2022, the enemy has been purposefully destroying critical infrastructure, in particular the energy infrastructure. A total of 255 missile strikes were launched on 112 targets. These are the strikes that reached their targets, those that were not shot down by our military," Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said at a press conference dedicated to the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the Prosecutor General, 77% of such missile strikes occurred in the period from October to February, namely, 197 cases were recorded.
"We consider these attacks as the creation of unbearable conditions which corresponds to one of the signs of genocide specified in the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide," Kostin added.
As reported, on February 20 and 21, Russian troops shelled the energy infrastructure of Kherson region, cutting off electricity in the village of Zymivnyk and three settlements in Bilozerka community.
