Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov held a meeting with Defense Minister of Estonia Hanno Pevkur in Kyiv and praised the aid provided by Estonia.

"I was glad to welcome my friend and colleague, Defense Minister of Estonia Hanno Pevkur, to Kyiv today. This is not the first visit of our great friend to Kyiv. And again and again, I want to commend the courage of the minister," Reznikov said, the Ministry’s press service posted on Telegram.

According to him, it is difficult to overestimate the aid provided by Estonia as its total amount has already exceeded 1% of the country’s GDP. "Constant support within Ramstein format meetings, 155mm howitzers, the initiative ‘1 million 155mm projectiles for Ukraine’, field hospitals, and treatment of our soldiers is just a small list of what friendly Estonia does for us," Reznikov noted.

The minister expressed his admiration for the people of Estonia and their support for Ukraine. "The Estonian people and the Government of Estonia believe in Ukraine's victory and will celebrate it together with us as true friends and partners," he added.

As reported, at a meeting with EU colleagues in Brussels in November, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu suggested changing the model of support for Ukraine, increasing it fivefold from 0.2 to 1% of GDP.
