Two people killed in Russian shelling of Kherson region

In Kherson region, two people were killed and a woman was injured as a result of Russian shelling on Tuesday, February 28.

This is said in a statement by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office published on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"A pre-trial investigation has been launched as part of criminal proceedings on the violation of the laws of war, combined with intentional homicide... According to the investigation, on February 28, the Russian army again shelled residential districts of Kherson city and suburban settlements," the report says.

A man was killed after a Russian projectile hit a residential building in the regional center.

Another civilian got fatal injuries in a Russian shelling of a village, medics couldn’t save the victim.

It is noted that at least one woman was injured.

According to the prosecutor's office, the Russian shelling damaged houses, power lines, gas pipelines, heating network, and vehicles.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Tuesday, February 28, Russian troops struck Kherson again, civilian casualties were reported.

On February 27, Russian troops shelled the Kherson community 44 times.
