Ukrainian air defenses intercept 80% of enemy missiles – Joint Forces commander

The effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense systems has improved significantly and the percentage of enemy missiles shot down is 80%.

The press service of the Joint Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a Telegram post, according to Ukrinform.

"Currently, the percentage of downed missiles has changed a lot and is equal to 80 percent. And in some cases it is even higher. Our air defense specialists have become more professional and competent. But the enemy is also changing its tactics and methods of using air attack means. So, we analyze everything after every shot. This analysis is carried out and the commanders, accordingly, make such decisions so that the resilience of air defenses could be at the highest level," said Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Nataliia Humeniuk, the head of the joint press center of Ukraine's South Operational Command, said on February 28 that Russia could launch a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine in the next two days.
