Rescuers finish removing rubble of apartment block in Zaporizhzhia

In Zaporizhzhia, the rescuers finished removing the rubble of the apartment block in Zaporizhzhia city destroyed by a Russian missile. A total of 13 residents were found dead.

"Zaporizhzhia. The removal of the rubble of the destroyed apartment block has been completed. Unfortunately, 13 people, including a baby, were killed. I offer my sincere condolences to the families," Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Serhiy Kruk posted on Facebook.

He expressed his gratitude to the team of professionals "who accept this challenge of fate." "Each of you has a big heart and does an important thing: saves lives," Kruk added.

As reported, at 01:30 on March 2, the Russians fired a S-300 missile at a five-story apartment block in Zaporizhzhia city.

The State Emergency Service staff rescued 11 people. In addition, four cats and a dog were found alive while removing the rubble.

As of March 5, two people were missing.
