Nikopol district struck with Russian Grad MLRS, heavy artillery

Russian troops have struck the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol district with the Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and heavy artillery. Six civilians were reported injured, including two children.

The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Lysak on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today the Nikopol district has been suffering from enemy shelling with heavy artillery and the Grad MLRS. Russians targeted the Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities, and the city of Nikopol. Six civilians were injured, including two children,” Lysak wrote.

All of those injured were from Nikopol: an 11-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy; three women and a man, aged from 40 to 74. They are in moderately grave condition.

A total of 24 detached houses were damaged in Nikopol. One of them caught fire, and firefighters had already extinguished it. Seven household buildings were seriously damaged. Twenty photovoltaic panels, four power transmission lines and two gas pipelines were broken.
