Ukrainian troops repel numerous attacks near Bakhmut and Ivanivske

Missile and artillery units hit a command post, three ammunition depots, and an electronic warfare station of the Russian army.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

"During the day, Ukraine’s Air Force launched seven strikes on the occupiers’ personnel and military equipment clusters. Missile and artillery units hit a command post, six enemy personnel clusters, two logistics centers, three ammunition depots, an EW station, and an anti-aircraft missile system at a firing position," the report reads.

As noted, the Russian Federation launched another massive missile attack on the critical infrastructure objects and the houses of civilian population in Ukraine today. Several objects were struck. People were killed.

The Russian aggressor does not give up its intentions to seize Ukraine. Not having significant success on the battlefield, the enemy continues to pursue terror tactics, grossly violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law.

In total, during the day, the enemy fired 84 missiles of various types. The Ukrainian defenders destroyed 34 missiles, eight more missiles did not reach their targets. Also, the aggressor launched 12 airstrikes, in particular, used eight Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles. Half of them were shot down.

The Russian army keeps trying to encircle the city of Bakhmut with further access to the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The main efforts are focused on conducting offensive operations in Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions.

In Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. The Russian Federation maintains a military presence in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, but the formation of offensive groups has not been detected.

During the day, the enemy fired mortars and artillery at Yeline in Chernihiv region; Atynske in Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Krasne, Vovchansk, and Bolohivka in Kharkiv region.

The enemy is trying to break through the defensive lines of the Ukrainian troops in Kupyansk and Lyman directions. The enemy launched artillery attacks on settlements, including Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Zapadne, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region; Nevske and Chervonopopivka in Luhansk region; Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy keeps assaulting the city of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous attacks near Bakhmut and Ivanivske. Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Kurdiumivka, and Mayorsk in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the aggressor made vain attempts to go on the offensive near Krasnohorivka, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka, Pobieda, Vuhledar in Donetsk region. Avdiivka, Vodiane, Heorhiivka, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Neskuchne in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy defends itself. Areas of settlements near the contact line were shelled, in particular, Novosilka and Novopil in Donetsk region; Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Huliaypilske, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Mykhailivka and Kherson in Kherson region.
