Majority of artillery and MLRS strikes recorded in Lyman–Kupyansk axis
For several weeks, Russian troops have been firing artillery mostly in Lyman–Kupyansk axis. More than 400 artillery strikes have been recorded there today.
"For several weeks in a row, this area has been the leader in terms of artillery and MLRS shelling. In particular, today, there have been 414 strikes, 12 skirmishes, and also the enemy lost 70 occupiers killed, 82 wounded, a tank and 5 IFVs were destroyed," Serhiy Cherevatyi, Spokesperson for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said during the national news telethon, commenting on the situation in Lyman–Kupyansk axis.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine daily eliminate enemy armored vehicles in this direction, usually T-72 tanks. About a week ago, five T-90 tanks were smashed in one day.
Cherevatyi noted that professional units of the Russian army, in particular airborne troops, brigades of the so-called "LPR corps" equipped under Russian control, and mechanized tank units are concentrated in this direction.
As reported, from February 24, 2022 to March 12, 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 159,090 Russian invaders.
