Lyceum employee killed in Russian shelling of Sumy region

Russian forces shelled an educational institution’s dormitory in Sumy region, killing a 52-year-old employee of the lyceum.

This was reported by the press service of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

On the morning of March 13, Russian invaders, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, fired from the territory of the Russian Federation on a lyceum’s dormitory in Shostka district, Sumy region.

According to preliminary data, a 52-year-old employee of the educational institution was killed in the shelling. Two more civilians received injuries of varying degrees of severity.

"Under the procedural leadership of the Shostka district prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation has been opened over the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the report says.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops launched a missile attack on the village of Znob-Novhorodske in Sumy region, targeting an agricultural lyceum.  According to the regional military administration, one civilian was killed, four more were injured.
