Paratroopers repel attempted assault near Donetsk, destroy Russian tank
Fighters of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an attempted enemy assault in Donetsk direction, destroying a Russian tank.
"Paratroopers of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade continue to hold the defense near Donetsk. Our positions here are assaulted every day. To push back the paratroopers, the enemy often uses armored vehicles: tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers. That time, the enemy threw a tank together with infantry to assault the positions," the Air Assault Forces posted on Telegram, publishing a relevant video.
Ukrainian soldiers used an anti-tank missile system to hit the enemy combat vehicle. The paratroopers' artillery completed the mission, forcing the enemy infantry to retreat.
As reported, Russia has already lost about 161,520 soldiers, 3,492 tanks, 6,799 armored personnel vehicles, 2,528 artillery systems, 2,132 drones, and hundreds of other equipment in the full-scale war waged against Ukraine.
