Ukraine’s Armed Forces shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft with the help of a man-portable anti-aircraft missile complex near the village of Berestove, Bakhmut district, in Donetsk region.
The 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelweiss broke the news on Facebook.
"The Russian Su-25 aircraft was shot down by the air defense unit of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelweiss over the settlement of Berestove using a Polish-made Piorun MANPAD. The range was two to three km," the report reads.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, NATO believes Russia is sustaining up to 1,500 casualties a day, primarily in the battles of Bakhmut.
