Enemy shells areas in Chernihiv, Sumy regions close to Russian border
On March 19, the Russian army shelled a number of villages in Chernihiv and Sumy regions, using self-propelled artillery and mortars.
That’s according to Operational Command North, Ukrinform reports.
“From 12:43 to 13:30, the Russians shelled the area of Kamianska Sloboda in Chernihiv region, likely using self-propelled guns, firing off 10 projectiles,” the Command wrote on Telegram.
In the area of Sopych, Sumy region, two strikes were recorded from 12:25 to 12:30.
Also, the enemy fired six mines at the area of Khrinivka, Chernihiv region from 13:55 to 14:00, likely employing a 120mm mortar.
Neither casualties nor equipment losses were reported in any of the strikes.
The civilian population and infrastructure were not affected.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian troops shelled Sumy region three times before noon on March 19.
