Russians shell village in Kharkiv region Tue morning

On March 21, at around 6:00 local time, the Russian army shelled the village of Basove in Kharkiv region, damaging local power transmission lines.

That's according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, who broke the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, at around 6:00, the militants mortared the village of Basove. More than 20 attacks were registered. Power lines were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties," the statement said.

Syniehubov also noted that over the past day, Russian troops continued to shell settlements in Kharkiv region close to the border. At least 14 populaces came under fire.

In particular, the Russians employed artillery, tanks, and mortars to attack Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Dvorichna, Strilecha, Hlyboke, and other settlements.

"In the Kupiansk area, the enemy's attempts to break through the defenses of our troops were unsuccessful. Russians fired artillery at the areas along the battle line," the head of the regional military administration noted.

In addition, he added, demining was ongoing in the region. State Emergency Service sappers seized and neutralized 27 explosive devices.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russians have carried out 21 air and nine missile strikes throughout the day. The enemy also fired multiple rocket launchers 57 times, Ukrinform reports.
