Death toll in drone attack on Kyiv region rises to nine
Rescuers found the bodies of nine people under the rubble of buildings following a Russian drone attack on Rzhyshchiv, Kyiv region.
“On the night of March 22, in the town of Rzhyshchiv, Kyiv region, the 4th and 5th floors of two five-story dormitories and a three-story building of a vocational school were partially destroyed in an enemy attack, followed by a fire outbreak,” the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv Region reports.
At 06:50 on March 22, the fire was put out on an area of 330 sqm.
At 00:52 on March 23, the rubble in the territory of the Rzhyshchiv vocational school was removed completely.
Rescuers discovered the bodies of nine dead people. Seven people were injured and one person was rescued, the State Emergency Service reports.
As reported, as of 18:00 on March 22, the bodies of eight dead people were found in Rzhyshchiv.
