Pistorius: Germany fulfills its obligations to Ukraine

Germany fulfills its obligations regarding the transfer of weapons to Ukraine and sometimes does more.

"Promised – delivered: 18 Leopard 2 A6 main battle tanks arrived in Ukraine today, as well as sets with ammunition and spare parts," German Federal Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius posted on Twitter on the evening of March 27.

The minister emphasized that the transfer of the equipment to the hands of the Ukrainian defenders took place on time. According to him, these tanks will be crucial on the battlefield.

Pistorius noted that Germany handed over four more tanks to Ukraine than was agreed upon at the beginning. "You can rely on us," the German Federal Minister of Defense assured.

Earlier, the transfer of tanks was confirmed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He also noted that the issue of the transfer of tanks of an older modification, Leopard 1, was being negotiated.
