Russians shell Avdiivka with artillery, 5-month-old boy and his grandmother killed

Two people were killed, including a baby boy, and two more people were injured as Russian invaders shelled Avdiivka, Donetsk region.

Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The Russians shelled Avdiivka with artillery - two people were killed, including a child born in 2022. Two more people were injured," he wrote.

According to Yermak, a private house was damaged.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, specified that as a result of the attack, a five-month-old boy and his grandmother were killed, while the child's mother and father were injured. He also added that the mother of the five-month-old boy refused to evacuate.

Kyrylenko once again urged civilians, remaining in the front-line zone, to evacuate.  

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the regional police, as of March 28, five children remained in Avdiivka, Donetsk region. Every day, leaving the city becomes more and more difficult. Police officers are trying to convince the parents to take children out of the city as soon as possible.
