U.S. underscores importance of Ukraine’s future as strong, independent country – State Department

The United States is committed to provide long-term support to Ukraine’s people, who are resisting the Russian aggression, and sees Ukraine as a powerful and independent democracy.

This is stated in an official statement issued by the U.S. Department of State following Secretary Antony Blinken’s meeting with Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba in Brussels, Ukrinform reports.

“The Secretary reaffirmed U.S. support for NATO cooperation with Ukraine and long-term commitment to building Ukraine’s defense and deterrence capabilities,” the document says.

The two officials also discussed continued U.S. bilateral support for Ukraine’s battlefield needs.

“The Secretary underscored the importance of Ukraine’s future as a strong, independent, and democratic country,” the statement says.

As reported by Ukrinform, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba met in Brussels on Tuesday on the margins of the NATO Foreign Ministerial meeting.
