"During the current day, 245 attacks with various artillery systems and 21 combat clashes were recorded in the Bakhmut direction. 88 occupiers were killed, 124 more were injured. In addition, three enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, an electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot were destroyed," Cherevatyi said.
According to him, heavy battles are ongoing near Bakhmut; the enemy continues an assault. Cherevatyi stressed that the enemy is focusing main efforts in the Bakhmut and Kupiansk-Lyman areas.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky on April 5 stated that Russian invaders do not control Bakhmut in Donetsk region, but the situation there is the most difficult on the front.
The President reminded that General Oleksandr Syrskyi is in charge of the operational situation in Bakhmut and, according to Zelensky, the main thing for the general is not to lose the personnel.
At the same time, the President emphasized that the faster Ukraine receives weapons from its partners, the faster Ukrainian soldiers will change the situation not only in Bakhmut, but also in other areas of the front throughout the country.
