Donetsk region under enemy fire: Vuhledar hit by air strike, Zvanivka shelled with artillery

Russian troops have launched an air strike on the Donetsk region’s city of Vuhledar and massively shelled the village of Zvanivka. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, having posted the photographs, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In the Volnovakha direction, Vuhledar was hit by an air strike, without casualties. […] In the Lysychansk direction, Zvanivka was massively shelled with artillery: a school, a cultural hall, a shop and over 20 detached houses were damaged. In Siversk, houses were damaged on two streets,” Kyrylenko wrote.

In his words, in the Donetsk direction, Russian invaders launched artillery strikes on Marinka and Krasnohorivka. Occasional shelling was recorded in Avdiivka. No casualties were reported.

In the Horlivka direction, two civilians were reported killed and two injured in Bakhmut. A kindergarten, two detached houses and three apartment blocks were damaged.

In the Soledar community, four apartment blocks, two detached houses and a shop were hit in Nykyforivka, and three houses in Vasiukivka. The outskirts of the Chasiv Yar and Toretsk communities also came under enemy fire.

In the morning of April 5, 2023, Russians struck Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka with the Uragan multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Two civilians were killed and four injured.
