Defense Ministry offers sneak peek into Ukrainian recruits’ training in Britain
Servicemen with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, under the guidance of British instructors, practiced methods of personnel movement within a unit and actions in offensive and defensive operations as part of basic joint military training on British soil.
That’s according to the First Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, who posted the relevant pictures on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Instructors with the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment of Britain’s Ground Forces lead classes on practicing the methods of movement of personnel as part of a unit, offensive and defensive actions, and conducting combat operations in populated areas for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement reads.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, basic combined military training for Ukrainian recruits was launched by the British government in 2022. It is part of the UK's ongoing commitment of more than GBP 2.3 billion in support to Ukraine.
