Drone damages cable, fence at Russia’s Belgorod airfield
An "aircraft-type" drone carrying an explosive device hit the perimeter of an airfield near Belgorod.
This is reported by Ukrinform with reference to the Baza Telegram channel.
"An aircraft-type UAV carrying an unidentified explosive device fell near the fence of the (Belgorod-based, - ed.) Shukhov Airport and exploded. There are no casualties. The airport is currently shut down. The explosion damaged the fence and the signal cable," the report said.
According to Astra TG channel, the drone fell on the airport fence around 16:30 local time on April 10.
The said airport has not accepted civilian flights since Russia’s full-scale incursion into Ukraine.
Over the past few months, a number of incidents involving drones were reported in Belgorod and other regions of the Russian Federation bordering Ukraine, as well as in other Russian areas.
