Ukrainian forces killed 126 invaders, destroyed six ammunition depots in Bakhmut area – military spox
Ukraine's defense forces destroyed 126 invaders, an amphibious assault vehicle, a radar station and six ammunition depots in the Bakhmut area in the past 24 hours, as well as 50 invaders, a T-72 tank, an Orlan-10 UAV and a Zhitel jamming communication station in the Lyman area.
Serhii Cherevatyi, the spokesperson for the Eastern Grouping of Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this on national television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"The enemy continues to attack in the area of our responsibility in the Bakhmut and Lyman sectors. In the Bakhmut area, in the past 24 hours, the enemy fired 225 rounds from rocket artillery, there were 22 combat engagements and five air strikes. Some 126 occupiers were destroyed and 184 were wounded. [Ukrainian forces] also destroyed the enemy's amphibious assault vehicle, a radar station and six ammunition depots," Cherevatyi said.
According to him, the enemy used artillery mostly in the Lyman and Kupiansk sectors. There, throughout the day, the enemy fired 414 times from different systems and different calibers at the positions of Ukrainian defense forces, with nine combat engagements and eight air strikes recorded.
In this area, Ukrainian soldiers killed 50 invaders and 108 others. In addition, they destroyed a T-72 tank, an Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle and a Zhitel jamming communication station, Cherevatyi said.
