Fire breaks out, three civilians injured as Russians shell Kupiansk district
Russian forces shelled the border and frontline settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts. In particular, in the latter, a fire broke out at an enterprise as a result of the attack, three civilians were injured.
Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reported.
"As a result of the shelling from Grad MLRS, a civilian enterprise was damaged in the village of Kucherivka in Kupiansk district, and a fire broke out. Three men, aged 50, 51, and 23, were injured. All of them were hospitalized in a moderate condition," the regional governor wrote.
In addition, a 47-year-old volunteer was injured in Kupiansk district, while he was helping civilians to evacuate from Dvorichna village. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Doctors are fighting for his life.
In the past 24 hours, Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Starytsia, Dvorichna, Tabaivka and other settlements came under enemy fire in Kharkiv region.
Syniehubov also stressed that the danger of landmines remains high in the region.
On Thursday, a tractor driver was injured as he drove over an unknown explosive device in Lukiantsi village, Kharkiv district. The 28-year-old man was hospitalized.
As reported, 500,000 hectares of agricultural land in Kharkiv region need mine clearance. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in the region, more than 150 people have been injured by explosive devices, of whom about 30 then died.
