Zelensky holds meetings with SBU, GUR chiefs to discuss preparations for Army’s “active measures”

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine says he held meetings earlier today with the head of the Security Service of Ukraine and chief of Ukraine’s military intelligence (GUR) to discuss preparations for “active measures” by the Armed Forces.

The head of state spoke of the meeting in a video address, seen by Ukrinform.

"Today, I was in contact with the military, held a meeting with the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (Vasyl – ed.) Maliuk and one with the GUR head (Kyrylo - ed.) Budanov. The key thing is to continue annihilating occupiers, affecting their logistics routes and any potential they have in the occupied territories. This is also about us preparing for active measures, our counteroffensive effort," president said.

Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to all the soldiers who ensure this work, who remember that for every Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, villages, and Army positions, as well as for every killing of Ukrainians, the occupier must bear the most tangible losses.

"Every meter of Ukrainian land must mean for the occupier the inevitability of Russia's loss in this war, the inevitability of the fact that there will be no prospects for the enemy on the land of Ukraine," he emphasized.

Earlier today, responding to the news of yet another Russian shelling, this time targeting a residential neighborhood in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, Zelensky said every manifestation of terrorism on the part of Russia would lead to “fair accountability.”
