Five Ukrainians to be tried for terrorism in Russia
Five Ukrainians are reportedly due to appear in a Russian court accused of being part of a terrorist group.
That's according to Sky News, Ukrinform reports.
The people, who have not been identified, were transported from Russian-occupied Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia to Crimea, which has been under Russian control since 2014.
From there, they were transferred to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center in Moscow.
The group have been accused of planning explosions at locations where Russian troops were stationed and places where aid was being handed out.
According to Russian state media, security officers found explosives in a car belonging to one of the suspects. Caches of weapons, ammunition, and grenades were allegedly found in basements, garages, as well as under piles of rubbish and tombstones in cemeteries.
