Russia holds three missile carriers with 16 Kalibr in Black Sea
The number of Russian missile carriers in the Black Sea is the same as yesterday, with a total volley of 16 Kalibr missiles.
The Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk said this on the air of the telethon "United News", Ukrinform reports.
"The number of missile carriers had not changed since yesterday when the enemy increased the presence of missile carriers and raised them to three. These are one surface [ship] and two submarines. In such cases, the total volley of "Kalibr" can reach 16 units. But the naval group has slightly decreased, now it is eight ships, and they continue to maneuver in a missile-safe area. They are hiding behind the Crimean peninsula," Humeniuk said.
According to her, Russians understand that getting closer to the Ukrainian-controlled coast may be "unexpectedly surprising" for them. Russian army keeps their distance so that they can strike but not get hit by Ukrainian long-range weapons.
Humeniuk said the missile risk remains significant with so many Kalibrs on combat duty.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Humeniuk said that the stock of missiles in Russia is close to critical, but new attacks are not excluded.
