Special Operations Forces commander visits Bakhmut
During the visit, Brigadier General Viktor Khorenko familiarized himself with the current situation in the city and talked to the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces units defending this settlement.
"The situation in Bakhmut is really difficult, but you know best what to do and how to act in the current conditions. Your work here once again proves that the Special Operations Forces means primarily the superiority of quality over quantity," Khorenko told the soldiers, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
He emphasized the importance of the work of special-purpose groups during the defense of Bakhmut and praised the professionalism of Special Operations Forces’ operators.
For a long time now, the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces have been performing the mission to defend the city, which remains the hottest area of the front. Despite the superiority of the enemy and massive attacks aimed at destroying city blocks, the operators of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine strike the enemy at key areas, destroy its personnel, and perform many other tasks, hindering the advance of Russian troops.
As reported, the battles for Bakhmut are important not only for the Russian invaders but also for the Armed Forces of Ukraine because holding the city does not allow the enemy to increase the front line.
