Man dies in Zaporizhzhia due to Russian shelling
A resident of Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region died due to Russian shelling. Zaporizhzhia Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation.
That's according to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Ukrinform reports.
"On April 26, 2023, servicemen of the aggressor state, disregarding the norms of international humanitarian law, once again carried out an artillery attack on the city of Orikhiv. A 46-year-old local resident was killed as a result of the enemy attack," the statement said.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The prosecutor's office added that the materials of the criminal proceedings will be further transferred under the jurisdiction of the SSU Office in Zaporizhzhia region.
As reported, the Russian army made 67 attacks on 19 communities in Zaporizhzhia region yesterday: 53 artillery attacks, 6 with MLRS, 7 with drones, and an air strike.
