Death toll in Russia's missile attack on Uman rises to 17
In Uman, rescuers have recovered two more bodies from the rubble, bringing the death toll from a Russian missile strike to 17.
Ihor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Rescuers have pulled two more dead from the rubble: we now have 17 civilians killed by Russians in Uman. The rescue operation continues. This is a terrible tragedy for the entire Cherkasy region. We are announcing three days of mourning in the region," Taburets wrote.
As Ukrinform earlier reported, at dawn, the invaders shelled Uman with cruise missiles. The entrance to one nine-story building was completely destroyed, and a total of 10 houses were damaged.
According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, it could take a day to clear the rubble.
