Russians no longer guide "sacred" dates, there is constant danger of shelling - Air Force spox
Russian invaders no longer tie the shelling Ukrainian cities to "sacred" dates. The attacks continue daily, using all the capabilities of the terrorist country.
The spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat said this today during the "United News" program, Ukrinform reports citing ArmyInform.
Ihnat noted Russian attacks continue daily, whether with long-range or short-range missiles, or with bombs.
"Russia's tactical aviation is constantly operating in the frontline regions of our country. We understand that the threat remains throughout Ukraine, but most of all - on the border with the occupying country," he emphasized.
The spokesman also reminded that yesterday the second division of the Patriot air defense system went on combat duty in Ukraine. SAMP-T weapons systems are expected to arrive soon, which should strengthen protection not only from enemy aerodynamic means, but also from ballistic ones.
Ihnat added that an increase in the number of Western air defense systems, including the provision of long-awaited F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, would allow the Ukrainian military to shoot down up to one hundred percent of air objects.
As Ukrinform reported, the invaders fired cruise missiles at Uman at dawn. The entrance to one nine-story building was completely destroyed, and a total of 10 houses were damaged.
In Uman, the death toll from the Russian strike has risen to 17 people. Among them are three children.
According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, clearing the rubble may take a day.
