Government opens special account for humanitarian demining - Shmyhal
Humanitarian demining remains a priority, as up to 30% of Ukraine's territory is mined by Russians.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting on Friday, Ukrinform reports.
"Humanitarian demining remains our priority. Up to 30% of Ukraine's territory is mined by the enemy. We need to accelerate the clearance of land, especially agricultural land," Shmyhal said.
According to him, the demining action plan is already being implemented. The government is opening a special account at the Ministry of Economy, to which everyone will be able to transfer funds in hryvnia and foreign currency to finance humanitarian demining.
As reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers' priorities are to launch a large-scale demining program in Ukraine as soon as possible.
