Number of those killed in Russia’s missile attack on Uman rises to 23
The death toll in Russia’s missile strike on an apartment block in the Cherkasy region’s Uman has increased to 23.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of 07:00 p.m., a child’s body was found. The number of those killed is 23, including four children,” the report states.
Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Head Ihor Taburets noted on Telegram that, according to the preliminary data, three children among those killed were born in 2009, 2012 and 2021. The age of the fourth child is yet to be identified.
A reminder that, on the dawn of April 28, 2023, Russian troops fired cruise missiles at the Cherkasy region’s Uman. One of two entrances in a 9-storey apartment block was destroyed completely. A total of 10 houses were damaged.
