Zelensky on international aid during war: There were moments when they let us down

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that during Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, there were moments when certain countries promised assistance to Ukraine and failed to provide it on time.

He said this in an interview with representatives of Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian media outlets, according to Ukrinform.

"In a war, it is very important to do everything on time and count on those who promised you something or gave their word. It is very important. In this war, we had moments when they let us down. I want to thank you that this was not the case with your countries," Zelensky said.

He noted that Russia's war against Ukraine is very complex and large-scale in the application of various technologies and no country in the world is capable of providing Ukraine with everything necessary to fight against the aggressor on its own, therefore international support is complex.

"But we are fighting for countries in Europe and NATO countries to never feel Russia's ability to annex some freedom," Zelensky said.
