White Angels police team evacuates 20 more people from Donetsk region’s Bakhmut
Twenty more civilians have been evacuated by the White Angels police unit from the Donetsk region’s war-torn city of Bakhmut. Evacuation efforts are carried out in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Over five days, the White Angels have managed to evacuate 20 residents from the burning city. Among those evacuated, there are two injured men, an elderly woman with limited ability, and pets – a parrot and Semen Semenovych the Dachshund,” the report states.
The video shows the frightened civilians speaking of how they had miraculously managed to escape from hell. Russian occupiers turned their homes and the entire city into ruins. Local residents barely had any opportunity to leave a basement due to heavy shelling.
The evacuated people were carried to an aid post. Now the military administration will take care of them and provide with shelter and assistance.
