74 children evacuated from Zaporizhzhia region’s frontline communities in April
In April, 74 children were evacuated from the frontline settlements of Zaporizhzhia region.
Yuriy Malashko, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, announced this during the news telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We are working on the evacuation of families raising minors - we managed to evacuate 74 children in April, that's 38 families. There are currently no families with children in Orikhiv," he said.
The regional governor added that representatives of the authorities, together with law enforcers, visit families with children and persuade them to leave.
According to Malashko, the humanitarian situation on the contact line is under control: "points of invincibility" are operating, there is a reserve of supplies, so that the population is provided with everything necessary for life in such conditions, and there are power generators as well.
As reported, Russian troops attacked 19 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia region 69 times on April 29.
