Czech president writes "Russia, Go Home" on Ukrainian military vehicle
President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel has called on Russian forces to withdraw from Ukraine.
He left the relevant message on a military vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine while visiting the country and posted the photo on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"Russia, Go Home," Pavel wrote.
He also expressed support for Ukrainian defenders. "We are with you. You will avenge your fallen, you will regain your freedom," the Czech president emphasized.
The former NATO general also noted that he is familiar with that feeling when a unit is heading to the front and “you want to go with them, want to be an example.”
"As a commander, I always supported my soldiers. This is no longer my role. I have come to give them courage," the Czech president noted.
As reported, President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Caputova arrived in Ukraine on April 28. They visited Kyiv, Bucha and Borodianka in Kyiv region. Then, Pavel visited Dnipro, where the Czech Republic plans to open a consulate general, and Caputova visited Yahidne in Chernihiv region.
General Pavel served as chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, which is the second position in the Alliance after the Secretary General.
