Ukrainian forces repel 20 Russian attacks, battles ongoing in Bakhmut, Marinka
Ukraine's defense forces repelled 20 attacks by the Russian army in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka areas on Sunday, April 30.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in an evening update published on Facebook.
"The Russian Federation continues to use terror tactics. Today, the enemy launched two missile strikes on the cities of Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka. Also, throughout the day, it launched 15 air strikes and mounted about 30 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and settlements," the update said.
The probability of the enemy launching missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive action in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors. Units of Ukraine's defense forces repelled more than 20 attacks by Russians in the specified areas of the front line. Bakhmut and Marinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities where Ukrainian defenders are firmly holding the defense.
"Local hospitals in temporarily occupied Luhansk are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the growing number of wounded. A group of medical workers, particularly surgeons, has recently arrived in the city from the Moscow region to treat and rehabilitate Russian soldiers. The official purpose of the visit is to exchange experience and help the medical facilities of Luhansk," the General Staff said.
Recently, irreversible losses among residents of Luhansk and its outskirts who were forcibly mobilized to the Russian army have amounted to about 70 people per day. In order to prevent possible manifestations of discontent among the population, ritual services have been recommended to adjust the number of people present at funeral processions to six people. In addition, the so-called "MGB" ("State Security Ministry") insists on cremation of the dead.
The combat aircraft of Ukraine's defense forces launched three strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas.
Ukrainian rocket and artillery units hit four areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, an ammunition depot, two areas of concentration of enemy artillery and a logistics center of the invaders.
