Number of children injured by Russian army in Ukraine rises to 960

Russian troops have already injured 960 children in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"As of the morning of May 1, 2023, more than 1,437 children have been affected in Ukraine due to Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 477 children were killed and more than 960 were injured," the post reads.

The figures are not final as work is ongoing to establish them in areas of hostilities and in temporarily captured and liberated territories.

Most children were killed or injured in Donetsk region - 453, Kharkiv region - 275, Kyiv region - 128, Kherson region - 94, Zaporizhzhia region - 89, Mykolaiv region - 89, Chernihiv region - 69, Dnipropetrovsk region - 67, Luhansk region - 66.

On April 30, five children, aged 12 to 16, were injured in Russian missile strikes against Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.
